| Job Description: |
- Provide a full financial planning, advisory and reporting service for Roots International Schools nationwide
- Participate in the determination of overall strategy for meeting the financial objectives of RIS
- Manage the production of the annual budget and Business Plan for the division and any entities under the control of the division
- Ensure justification for all major budgeted spend, and subsequently to ensure that all expenditure is monitored against appropriate targets
- Accountable for the risk and control framework applied to the business
- Provide regular and timely evaluations of the business performance and financial position, the business plans, strategic options and business opportunities, including profit trends, cash flow, financial exposures and tax matters.
- Liaise with and manage the relationship with internal and external auditors and other third party suppliers on all financial and compliance matters.
- Direct and motivate the Finance team and provide leadership for Finance
- Developing and maintaining financial planning, management and reporting systems, ensuring strong governance and compliance
- Regular reporting to the CEO on financial progress
- Producing budgets and business plans
- Overseeing preparation, audit and tax submission of accounts across several cities in which the school operates
- Identifying and implementing mechanisms to enable Roots International Schools to maximize opportunities for additional revenue generation
- Managing cash forecasting and control processes
- Promoting and guiding commercial awareness across the business
- Building and maintaining strong relationships within Roots International Schools and putting structures in place to meet future growth needs
